As was announced in worship on July 28th, Rev. Lundy is being involuntarily mobilized as an UMC Endorsed Air National Guard Chaplain for one
year beginning Oct.1st, 2019. He will be supporting the full time Federal mission of the 181st Intelligence Wing in Terre Haute, IN.  Staff/Parish is working closely with our Conference Superintendent to find the best fit for an interim Senior Pastor. The Bishop has announced that Rev. Dr. Lundy will return to us as Senior Pastor in Oct. 2020, after his deployment. Staff/Parish has unequivocally affirmed the Bishop's decision. Pastor Doug will remain in place throughout this year. The Conference has determined that with the size of the Church, we need 2 Pastors, one of which is an Elder. The Church will pay Pastor Doug and the interim Senior Pastor. Rev. Dr. Lundy will not be an employee of the Church while he is deployed and thus is not entitled to any compensation from CUMC. Please join us in praying for Rev. Dr. Lundy, his family, and our beloved Church. Contact any Staff/Parish member if you have any questions.

You are invited to read Rev. Dr. Lundy's deployment blog.  It can be found at:

Please note he will not be writing anything about Churubusco UMC.  This is simply a place for him to reflect

theologically about the things of his deployment he can share.
